The NRA basic pistol course is derived directly from the National Rifle Association curriculum. This class is perfect for the inexperienced pistol shooter who wishes to learn more about firearms or wishes to obtain a concealed carry permit (this class will qualify for a CCW or CHP permit). In this class we will go over shooting fundamentals, shooting safety, range safety, main components of a pistol, different types of handguns, different types of ammunition, holsters, carry position, shooting stance, pistol safety, function of a pistol, potentially hazardous pistol malfunctions, proper shooting grip, and much more.

Our first steps pistol class is derived directly from the National Rifle Association. This class is for individuals who have no firearm experience. We will discuss everything from loading a pistol to pistol safety. In this class we focus on proper shooting fundamentals, pistol safety, range safety, and cleaning your pistol. We will discuss all the different categories of handguns such as double/single action revolvers, single action revolvers, double/single action semi-automatic pistols, single action only pistols, double action pistols, and striker fired pistols. This course is for individuals who want live fire range training as well as an informative non-intimidating lecture.
